Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. (MUFG) is a Japanese bank and financial services company

headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo. It constituets one of the main companies of the Mitsubishi Group.

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial GroupMUFG was formed on the 1st of October 2005 through the merger of Mitsubishi Tokyo Financial Group and UFJ Holdings. As a consequence of the merger, the core banking units of the group (Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi and UFJ Bank) merged to form The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd on the 1st of January 2006.

MUFG is Japan’s largest financial group and one of the world’s largest bank holding
